Staircases

Evergreen, CO  – Hiwan – 2016

This is a new staircase that will be finished in 2017!  Round 1 included new hardwood floor installation, which obviously means the old carpet and tile was ripped out.  We will be updating the entire staircase, painting the walls, new carpet on the stairs, new kitchen, new posts and trim around the entry to the lower level, stay tuned…you’ll see this remodel all over our projects!  Stay tuned…

Centennial, CO – 2016

We removed the caramel carpet, orange oak handrails, traditional looking bottom newel posts and wood balusters, and also took off the rounded bottom step.

Then we added:
– custom walnut stair treads
– wood risers painted the same off-white as their existing baseboard and trim (to tie things together)
– clean-lined transitional newel posts at the top and bottom
– a new continuous handrail (stained to match the walnut) that wraps around the wall where the stairs narrow
– cream painted skirtboard to the upper floor
– cream painted base on the sides of the steps where the stairs narrow
– a new squared-off bottom step
– BUT, the wall color stayed the same!! (lighting is different in each photo)
